If you have recently downloaded a file from the Conference Resource store, you will notice that you will get either a .rar file or a .zip file.
We do this so that even if your download contains several files, you can download them all at once, with a single click. This also allows us to compress the file size, so that the downloads are not as large, and do not take as long.
Let's go over the two formats, and how to open them:
1) ZIP Files:
A .zip file is pretty common, and most computers have built-in options to extract/open a .zip file. If your computer does not have any built-in option to open the file, do not worry. There are many free programs available to open .zip files. If you look at the very bottom of this post, you will see that I have posted links to several free programs for opening .zip files.
2) RAR Files: A .rar file is another form of compressed archive file, but this format does not have the same file size limit that a .zip has. If your download was a very large compilation, it may be a .rar file. Again, don't worry, if you cannot open the file, simply download one of the free programs below to open your file.
Lastly, if you need assistance in opening a file, please use the contact us form link in the upper right hand corner of this page. We are quick to respond and will be glad to help you.
